Flowing fountain fights plastic pollution

Your presence would be very welcome tomorrow in the Pleasaunce at 11am, Saturday 15 June, when Charles Medhurst will open the new Drinking Fountain. It has now been installed beside the table tennis just ready for the start of Summer.

We are hoping that it may help with the fight against single use plastic bottles and cups and give thirsty people, dogs and wild life easy access to water at all times.

It was paid for by a Growth Fund Grant, which we were successful in gaining last year thanks to your votes, and match funded by the Friends of the Pleasaunce.

Do hope you can join us at the cafe afterwards

It fits in very well as its a wooden structure and already used by the children from Halstow School on their mile a day run. Thank you for your comments
